Personal Data Protection
At the Institute of Biostatistics and Analyses, Ltd., we place significant emphasis on the protection and prevention of misuse of personal data of our employees, cooperating entities, and third parties.
To meet all legislative requirements, we have integrated ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security Management System) standards into our quality system, along with personal data protection processes in accordance with Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on Personal Data Processing. Following the adoption of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation EU 2016/679) and the repeal of Directive 95/46/EC, we updated our processes and appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO).
Our personal data processing activities are protected through comprehensive organizational and technical measures, including controlled access, data minimization practices, and technological safeguards aligned with GDPR principles. We are also a member of a Personal Data Protection Association, further demonstrating our commitment to managing and safeguarding sensitive information according to the highest security standards.
In clinical research, we may process personal data as well as special categories of personal data as outlined in Article 9 of the GDPR. Our projects have undergone multiple audits by the Office for Personal Data Protection, with no instances of non-compliance identified.
