IBA lecturers
are experts in their respective fields, backed by years of professional experience. Their disciplines are second nature to them, and they bring valuable insights not only from teaching but also from involvement in numerous domestic and international projects.

Michal leads the Data Analysis Department at IBA. He holds a rigorous doctoral degree in Mathematical Biology from Masaryk University’s Faculty of Medicine and is the author or co-author of numerous scientific publications, primarily in pulmonology and cardiology. In academia, Michal has served for many years as a lecturer in Biostatistics and Data Management for medical disciplines, passing on his expertise to the next generation of researchers. He is known for his sharp analytical thinking (and eloquence), which he enthusiastically applies both to teaching and research.

David heads the Data Management Department at IBA. He is a graduate of Brno University of Technology in Bioinformatics and Biocomputing. David has more than ten years of hands-on experience in creating registries, reviewing and designing CRFs, developing eCRFs, reporting, exporting data, performing data quality control, and developing online visualizations. His specialty—and a personal trait—is an unwavering focus on work efficiency and automation.

Marika serves as Regulatory Affairs Manager and Clinical Research Expert (Medical Advisor and Regulatory Affairs Manager) at IBA, having previously led the Project Management Department. Marika is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in pharmaceutical project management, clinical trials, quality management, and regulatory affairs. Throughout her career, she has successfully led numerous grant-funded and commercial R&D projects in medical devices and pharmaceuticals, from basic and preclinical research through clinical development to market launch. Marika excels at guiding collaborative projects with a combination of care and uncompromising efficiency that often resembles maternal leadership. She is also exceptionally skilled at interpreting complex documentation.
